When releasing negative emotions about the past, it may also be helpful to see how others – even those who took part in creating painful circumstances – play the role of reflecting to you something about your self. The next step might be to see the greater lesson you are learning from a situation. Another step is to accept the lesson, and still another, to express gratitude for it. As you express gratitude for a lesson, you can also feel gratitude for those who assisted you in creating the experience.
The essential journey of all souls is to seek out and understand the complete array of earthly experiences and distill those understandings into the ever evolving wisdom of the soul. In this way, the dark is no less than the light. The balancing point weighs equal energies of dark and light.
